Fulham mid-field Lee Clark has ended speculation about his own future after stating that he is in advanced talks with the Club over a new long-term contract.

"I want to concentrate on my football at Fulham. I have never had any discussions with any other Club. I don't know where the stories come from, but I can say that I am in negotiations with Fulham to extend my stay and that my family will be coming back down south soon."

Lee has been reported as buying a property in the Epsom area of Surrey a short training run from the club training facilities at Motspur Park in New Malden.

And the midfield dynamo isn't concerned at the lack of new signings so far saying

"We know there will be players coming in and the lads are looking forward to that. But the Manager is an astute man. He'll only want the right players who want to play for the Club. If that means holding on, then so be it. We don't want or need anyone who's only here for themselves or for a joy ride.

"Players that have chosen not to come here don't know what they are missing. It's their loss. The place is pure class from top to bottom and the care we get as professionals is better than anything I have ever experienced at any level."
