Lee Clark Stories
Cash-strapped Leeds United are still working on some summer targets, with suggestions that Peter Reid is eyeing Lee Clark of Fulham.

There are still suggestions that Leeds will offload more players in the summer as they continue to haul themselves away from the edge of financial ruin.

However, this has not stopped the rumours that Reid will bring in new faces. One of the players to be linked with a move to the Yorkshire club is Fulham's tenacious midfield terrier Clark.

Clark will be available for a cut-price fee as Fulham look to shape for the future - and the player has an obvious connection to Reid.

The 30-year-old was one of the key men for the Leeds boss in his tenure at Sunderland, and Reid has already stated his need to bring in a defensive midfielder.

Fulham signed Lee from Sunderland in the summer of 1999 for £3million. He had featured strongly in the Wearsiders march to the Premiership but following an incident which would have made it hard for him to stay popular at Sunderland, the best option was to move south.
