Lee Clark back to Toon Town?

Bobby Robson is considering a swoop for Newcastle
old boy Lee Clark after having the £5million rated midfielder watched
during Fulham's 1-1 draw with Ipswich on Sunday.
And with uncertainty mounting over Rob Lee's future following the 35-year-old's
transfer request, Robson is keen to be in a position to act quickly should
he need to find fresh cover for such a key position.
Geordie Clark, 29 on Saturday, is also attracting interest from Newcastle's
Premiership rivals Aston Villa and former Toon boss Kevin Keegan at Manchester
City.
But there is little doubt the former England Under-21 star would jump at
the chance of a return to his North-East roots if Fulham decide to do business.
The Wallsend-born schemer left Tyneside four years ago after almost 200
league appearances for his hometown club, in which time he became a firm
favourite with the Toon Army.
After a spell at Sunderland he has settled well at Craven Cottage, signing
a five-year contract and claiming last season's player of the year award
as he helped Jean Tigana's side to the Nationwide Division One title.
