Fulham midfielder Steed Malbranque

Fulham midfielder Steed Malbranque made a successful return to action in Fulham's reserves on Wednesday night.

The French midfield maestro has been on the sidelines since injuring an ankle in the 1-0 win over West Brom in January, but is now back in the action.

Malbranque played 75 minutes for Fulham's second string in their 5-1 triumph over Arsenal reserves on Wednesday night, and reported no ill effects after the game.

Reserve boss Paul Nevin was delighted with Malbranque's return to action, saying he did well to last so long.

"He did very well considering the amount of time he's been out," Nevin told the club website.

"Technically he was fantastic, as usual, his work rate and attitude was top class."

Fulham boss Chris Coleman will be delighted with Malbranque's return to action, and he could go straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to Tottenham.

Meanwhile, defender Adam Green has returned to Craven Cottage after being recalled from his loan stint at Sheffield Wednesday.
