a 2-1 victory over in form Man City.

Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce looks determined to get his man after new reports suggesting he will once again move for Steed Malbranque.

The Fulham star was the subject of a transfer bid from City before the window closed earlier this year.

And with the transfer kitty generated from the sale of Shaun Wright-Phillips still burning a hole in his pocket, Pearce has continually been linked with the player since the transfer window closed.

Strengthening midfield remains his target, and the Mirror claims today that Pearce is relaunching his bid for the player - at £5m.

Malbranque rejected a move to Eastlands before but the paper claims he may now be interested in the switch following City's good form this season.
