Stoke City have shown an interest in former Fulham utility man Chris Baird.
The Northern Irish international, who can play in defence or midfield, is a free agent after leaving Craven Cottage this summer following a six-year stint by the Thames.
New Stoke boss Mark Hughes knows Baird well from his time in charge in SW6 and is understood to be keen to bring the 31-year-old to the Britannia.
West Brom, who tried to sign Baird in January, Premier League new-boys Crystal Palace and Championship outfit Bolton have also made enquiries.
