Fulham boss Martin Jol thought the win was deserved after his side came from behind to beat Arsenal at Craven Cottage.

Laurent Koscielny headed the opener for the Gunners from six yards but Fulham improved after the break and Bryan Ruiz and Clint Dempsey had chances before Johan Djourou was sent-off with 12 minutes to play for a second bookable offence.

The Cottagers took full advantage and first Steve Sidwell headed the equaliser with five minutes to play before Bobby Zamora volleyed the winner at the death.

Jol said "It was amazing...we played ever so well in the second half.

"Sometimes if you can't score at the right times you end up with a draw but I think in the end the win was deserved."

Afterwards Arsene Wenger questioned Djourou's sending-off as well as a penalty appeal which was not given after Gervinho went down under a challenge by Philippe Senderos in the box.

On Djourou's red card, the Dutchman added: "To be fair he could have maybe had a second booking earlier so maybe he (Wenger) didn't want to see that. I don't think there's a problem - a second booking is a red card, that's a normal thing.

"He could have had a point with the penalty but you can see he (Senderos) tried to get the ball so it would have been a soft penalty."
