Lee Clark in demand

Fulham the new Nationwide Division One Champions will have to fend off a £3m bid from Newcastle for midfielder Lee Clark.

The Geordie, Fulham's Player of the Season, could be tempted to go home particularly as his wife hasn't settled in London.

Clark is in talks with Fulham to extend his contract at Craven Cottage and Jean Tigana is ready to offer him £20,000 a week.

But Newcastle boss Bobby Robson is desperate to prise him away.
