Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp claimed his side can only play one way after watching a thrilling contest in which his team beat Fulham 4-3.
The Pompey chief set out with a highly offensive line-up and then had to sit back back and watch an attacking display from both sides.
"I felt we were going to be open, but I felt we could do damage to them," Redknapp said.
With anchorman midfielders Amdy Faye and Aliou Cisse on the sidelines, Redknapp had to play both Eyal Berkovic and Patrick Berger in an attack-minded set-up.
"I felt we didn't have anybody who could shut the game up," he continued. "I picked a team that was going to go forward, but we were vulnerable defensively.
"I had that type of team, even at 3-0, I knew it wasn't over."
Meanwhile, hat-trick hero Yakubu Aiyegbeni has quick to praise the contribution of new strike partner Ricardo Fuller - who also impressed.
"When we scored, they scored too and we were a little bit scared," conceded the Nigerian. "Ricardo did very well today, I think he's a very good player.
"It's a good feeling to be at Portsmouth Football Club. ''It's a good feeling when you have players like this. When you play so well, you deserve to win."
