But under the terms of his deal with chairman Mohamed Al Fayed, Tigana will receive the seven-figure bonus for seeing through his initial three-year contract.
Tigana was on the verge of quitting at the start of the season after the arrival of former AC Milan and Italy skipper Franco Baresi as Director of Football.
Baresi was evicted by Al Fayed after only three months as the condition for Tigana staying on.
But the former France midfielder and Monaco coach has told the Fulham board that he has no intention of signing a new deal when his contract runs out in June.
Tigana last night refused to make any long-term commitment to the club.
He said: "My contract runs to June and I want to keep this club at the highest level. My problem now is to get points.
"From the day I arrived I always knew I would leave. It will be the same for the chairman, but the club will stay.
"Every manager comes and goes. Before me, Kevin Keegan did well, and the manager who comes after me will hopefully do well."
