Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz believes the club have come out of their recent slump in form and hopes Saturday's 1-0 win over Stoke means the Cottagers can now target a top-10 finish.
A stunning Dimitar Berbatov volley on the cusp of half-time was enough to settle a forgettable fixture in which Stoke's Jonathan Walters saw a second-half penalty saved by Mark Schwarzer.
Costa Rica international Ruiz wants Martin Jol's side to maintain their momentum for the remainder of the season, with a place in the top half up for grabs.
"We had a difficult period where we had bad results but we were playing not so well," he said.
"Now we are playing very good and getting the good results so hopefully we can finish the rest of the season playing good and getting the most points we can.
"We did what we had to do yesterday, won, got three points and are looking at the top 10."
Fulham dominated the opening 45 minutes against a Stoke side who have only won once on the road in the league this season.
Ruiz, who was on the receiving end of a Steven Nzonzi slap which saw the Potters' midfielder cautioned, felt the club's flair players were able to put their stamp on the game while their preparation gave them a better chance of securing a vital three points.
"It is very difficult because we didn't want to play their game," he said. "We wanted to play our game which is taking the ball, passing the ball and having possession.
"It is difficult against these kinds of teams who like to keep the ball in front of them, but I think we did good.
"We knew it was going to be really hard. Playing against Stoke is always difficult, they are a really strong team and it was difficult but we got the very important three points.
"We knew they're a really difficult team on crosses, throw-ins and corners but we trained on that this week and I think it was good because we got a clean sheet and it is very important for the team."
