Fulham front man Louis Saha had revealed he
is ready to fulfill his Premiership dream just days before the start of
the league season.... to beat last seasons goal-scoring tally.
The talented young Frenchman who netted 32 times last term, believes that
whilst life in the Premier League will be tough, that there is no reason
why he cannot continue his amazing goals-per-game ratio in the top flight.
He told Fulham Today:
"Scoring more goals than last season is a big target for me. To be
playing in the Premiership is a dream, playing against excellent players,
on good pitches and in nice stadiums. The quality of players is better than
the First Division, but I'm confident I can score goals at this level.
"I'm looking forward to it like everyone and when you've got a good
match to start off with, it's a pleasure to be in the side.
"Playing in the Premiership puts positive pressure on you, I'm not
scared of playing against good players. There are lots of players who would
like to be my position, so I'm not going to waste the opportunity."

Meanwhile, Saha's likely strike partner at
Old Trafford will be former Bristol Rovers forward Barry Hayles, no mean
marksman himself after registering 19 times last season.
Hayles is also confident that the Whites can go to Old Trafford and come
away with at least a point.
"The boys can't wait until Sunday. We don't have anything to be afraid
of and if we play to our strengths, which I think we will do. I can't see
too many problems for us.
"I think the top five teams are going to be Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester
United, Leeds and hopefully Fulham.
"I'm looking to score as many goals as possible, I'll be aiming for
at least 15, which I don't think is out of reach.
"If we keep playing the same way we played last season I can see us
creating chances, scoring goals and winning games." |
