Saha fears the chop

FULHAM striker Louis Saha reckons he is not good enough in front of goal and could be dropped by coach Jean Tigana.

The 23-year-old French star has picked up where he left off last season after 32 goals in Division One with three goals in Fulham's opening three Premiership games.

But he is furious with himself for not taking more of his chances and admits he needs to improve or face the axe.

Saha said: "I have to score more goals. For instance, in our game against Sunderland I had five or six real opportunities during the first half and I should have scored at least once.

"There are a lot of things I need to improve, I am still a young player. I have to be more realistic in front of goal and take my opportunities."

Tigana has three other strikers to choose from, including club-record £13million signing Steve Marlet, Barry Hayles and Luis Boa Morte.

And Saha accepts he will find himself out of the side at some stage during the season if he is not performing.
