Sean Davis is back in favour at Portsmouth but admits he does not know how long he will be at the club.

The 28-year-old has won his place back in the side for the last two games and he has caught the eye.

His return to the first-team fold comes as something of a surprise given that he failed to even make the squad for the club's FA Cup final success in May.

That appeared to suggest the former Tottenham man would be shown the door this summer, with Celtic believed to be among his admirers.

Despite still being at Fratton Park with the transfer window now closed for business, Davis concedes his future could still lie elsewhere.

"I must admit, I didn't think I'd find myself in the team as soon as I did," Davis said.

"I thought I was going to move on, but nothing happened and I'm happy to still be at Portsmouth.

"I love it down here. I love the training, the fans and the players are all quality. I am just happy to get my chance and prove myself again.

"I'm just trying to work hard and get a lot of games under my belt. We will see what happens in January.

"I only have a year left on my contract so I have to start thinking about what I am going to do in the future."
