The England hopeful was shown a straight red card for a hefty challenge on Tony Grant two minutes into the second half of the Cottagers' 3-0 Fifth Round replay defeat at Turf Moor.
Fulham boss Jean Tigana launched an attack on referee Phil Dowd immediately after the defeat and the club tried to get FA officials to review the incident on video, only to find the sending off will stand.
"We received an appeal from the club and sent the video to the Video Advisory Panel," said an FA spokesman.
"The appeal has failed and the player will now serve a three match suspension, starting on March 12."
It means Davis will miss the home game with Southampton (March 15), the trip to Manchester United, live on Premiership Plus on March 22, and Blackburn's visit to Loftus Road on April 7, which is live on Sky Sports.
