Fulham defender Philippe Senderos has heaped praise on Fulham's recent defensive performances, despite the strikers winning all the plaudits.

The 28-year-old Swiss international stopper has become an influential member of boss Martin Jol's plans at Craven Cottage this season, having fully recovered from the serious Achilles injury which he suffered shortly after arriving from Arsenal in summer 2010 and virtually accounted for his entire first season at the club.

Senderos, along with the other three members of the Cottagers' back four, have been in great form of late keeping two successive clean sheets in a run of one goal conceded in three straight wins.

And, while the likes of Pavel Pogrebnyak and Clint Dempsey have been winning all the praise due to their important goals for the side, Senderos feels the men at the back also deserve a special mention.

He said "We have a good solid approach to games. It is also a massive help that the guys are running their socks off up front as that really does make our job easier at the back.

"We've won three games in a row now and that does a lot for confidence.

"We've been working hard and lately our form has been really good so to get the results to go with it is very positive and hopefully we can finish the season on a high."
