Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell has had his claim for wrongful dismissal rejected by the Football Association.
Sidwell was dismissed for serious foul play during his side's 3-2 home victory over Queens Park Rangers and an Independent Regulatory Commission upheld the red card shown by Phil Dowd.
The player's three-match suspension will commence with immediate effect and rule him out of the trips to Newcastle and Aston Villa as well as the west London derby against former employers Chelsea.
Sidwell was sent off with 12 minutes of the Monday Night Football encounter left for a lunge on Armand Traore, which forced the left-back off eventually.
