FULHAM manager Jean Tigana has been told to
make Southampton an offer for on-loan Portuguese winger Luis Boa Morte or
face losing him.
Former Arsenal player Boa Morte scored 20 goals as Fulham raced to
the First Division title but he will return to Saints for pre-season training
unless Tigana is prepared to make a bid.
Southampton chairman Rupert Lowe said: "Fulham have an option to buy
him, which they might want to take up.
"That is up to Jean Tigana and if he wants to talk to me about him,
he can."
Tigana is reluctant to meet Southampton's pounds 3million valuation for
Boa Morte, who recently won his first full Portugal cap.
Tigana is thinking in terms of offering around pounds 2.5million for a man
he sees as only a squad player in the Premiership.
