Stars earn welcome break

last updated Friday 01st September 2000, 3:41 PM
Fulham players have been rewarded for their remarkable start to the season - by being given two days off.

The Whites have been working their socks off since new boss Jean Tigana arrived, training two and sometimes even three times a day.

But the taskmaster manager is so impressed with the way his team has kicked off the season that he has allowed them all a short break.

Steve Hayward was spotted by a Fulhamweb.com reporter in Kingston-Upon-Thames doing a bit of shopping.

Fulham have no match this weekend because the game at Sheffield United was postponed due to international call-ups.

However, there will be no break for the likes of Chris Coleman, Andy Melville, Kit Symons, Paul Peschisolido, Maik Taylor, Steve Finnan and Bjarne Goldbaek, who are all on international duty.
