Fulham midfielder Steed Malbranque won the spot-kick that gave The Cottagers their first goal against Everton. He raced into the area before being hauled down by Gary Naysmith and referee Graham Poll blew immediately.
Malbranque lit up Loftus Road with another creative masterpiece which was capped by his third goal of the season. The quiet ever serious midfielder showed his delight at scoring with a firework display of smiles.
He took full advantage of a retreating Everton defence to lash home from the edge of the area moments after the restart. He also drew rich praise from Coleman who insisted the former Lyon midfielder was another player who would not be sold.
'Steed is outstanding. He's tenacious, puts in a lot of work for the team and his technical ability is incredible. He's the same as Louis - why would we sell our best players, especially halfway through the season?' he said.
