Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell today marked Fulham's progress through to the group stage of the Europa League by telling his team-mates they must retain focus for their Premier League clash at Newcastle.
Fulham have little time to recover from last night's 1-0 play-off second leg defeat at Ukrainian side FC Dnipro before travelling north to St James' Park on Sunday.
And celebrations of a 3-1 win on aggregate have been muted by John Arne Riise's leg injury described by manager Martin Jol as "serious" and likely to keep the summer recruit from AS Roma out of the game for some time.
Sidwell said: "Our game plan was to sit back but keep a good shape and keep compact. We did that from the goalkeeper to the front men. It's all about recovering right and being professional. We'll do that and will go up to Newcastle hoping to bring back three vital points."
