Sven-Goran Eriksson is impressed by the young talent emerging in the Premiership and singled out Fulham's Sean Davis and Newcastle's Jenas as likely members of future England squads.

Davis, 23, has been a regular for Fulham in recent seasons making his debut at 17 years of age in the Third Division against Cambridge in October 1996. A midfielder who plays the holding role just in front of defence Sean has the ability to control games and score key goals.

Sven told the Football Association's official website, www.thefa.com: "It is very good for us that so many of these young players are playing regular first team football - and many of them are playing in Europe as well.

"Davis at Fulham is doing very well in the Premier League and he has played in Europe too - it's the same with Jenas at Newcastle.

"Talking to David Platt, he tells me a lot about these players and they are doing very well for their clubs and have done well for the Under-21s too.

"Every game they play, they gain a lot of experience. One day I will pick them."
