Fulham, already deprived of the suspended Andy Cole and Papa Bouba Diop after they were sent off in last week’s 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion, will also be without defender Alain Goma for tomorrow’s Premiership home match against Southampton.

Goma twisted his knee in the midweek 4-1 Carling Cup second-round victory at Boston.

Young right-back Liam Rosenior, sent off for two bookable offences on his senior debut at Boston, serves his one-match ban tomorrow, but he would have been ruled out anyway with a calf injury.

Southampton
Southampton head coach Steve Wigley is hoping to welcome back England striker James Beattie for the game at Fulham.

Beattie was forced to miss the midweek Carling Cup win at Northampton with an Achilles problem but is expected to return, with Peter Crouch making way.

Midfielder Anders Svensson is also likely to be recalled after recovering from a dead leg while Jelle van Damme stands by to make his full debut with Graeme Le Saux doubtful with a bruised foot.

Captain Jason Dodd, midfielder Matthew Oakley and striker Marian Pahars are still two weeks away from returning while centre-back Michael Svensson is out until November after knee surgery.
