Tigana, who has been told his contract with the west London club will not be renewed, sat down with his squad this morning to try and find a solution to the side's problems for the final six games of the season

Prior to the Blackburn game, Fulham lost 3-0 at Manchester United and Tigana will now be eager to stem the tide of goals going into his teams' net.

Tigana faces a daunting run in his final six games in charge, with Saturday's trip to Liverpool followed by Newcastle at home, Leeds and Chelsea away, Everton at home and Charlton away.

Captain Andy Melville, who is also leaving the club in the summer, said: 'Jean called a meeting this morning and said it wasn't good enough.

He wants to go out in the right way and make sure Fulham are still playing Premiership football next season.

'The main point of the meeting was that Jean's main concern is the club, not himself or individuals. Jean expects more of us and the players realise that. We need points from somewhere and only the players can get them.'
