Blackburn have identified Fulham striker Andrew Johnson as the man to score the goals which keep them in the Premier League.
Rovers are willing to pay £2million to lure the form Crystal Palace man away from London, while also offering him £50,000-a-week and a survival bonus.
Johnson is unhappy at Fulham having seen his three-and-a-half year career at Craven Cottage blighted by injuries and loss of form.
And despite making more of an impact this term - he has scored three times in 14 Premier League appearances - the one-time England frontman sees a future elsewhere.
QPR have also registered an interest in Johnson, knowing he is happy with London life, but the financial rewards on offer at Ewood Park could convince the 31-year-old to up sticks, according to the Daily Mirror.
However, Rovers are prepared to push the boat out for Johnson in terms of salary in a bid to tempt him north.
