Released Fulham midfielder Wayne Collins has
been revealed as one of the mystery trialists currently with Preston on
their European tour.
North End boss David Moyes jetted out to the tour in Austria and Germany
on Monday, throwing his usual veil of secrecy over goings on at Deepdale.
It is known that he has two trialists with the squad but Moyes, concerned
about potential rivals knowing his business, has refused to give any further
information.
However, it has been revealed that one of the potential signings is Collins,
released after his contract expired at the end of last season.
Manchester-born Collins starred with Crewe and Sheffield Wednesday before
joining Fulham and playing a part in the club's push towards the Premiership.
Jean Tigana did not feel he has the calibre needed for the top flight and
Preston are now poised to pounce if he impresses in the warm-up campaign.
