Fulham defender John Arne Riise admits Fulham must be more ruthless in their FA cup third-round replay against Norwich.
Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen will be seeking a response in the cup tie after his side were dragged back towards the relegation zone by Saturday's 4-1 defeat by fellow strugglers Sunderland.
Riise insists the Cottagers could have avoided this costly result if they had taken their chances and urged his team-mates to be more clinical against Norwich at Craven Cottage tonight.
"We had 60 per cent possession (against Sunderland), we dominated possession but we didn't take our chances," Riise said.
"We should be more experienced to keep control of the game, especially when we got back to 2-1.
"We've been conceding too many goals, especially from set-pieces.
"We have to do better in games like this, and now we've definitely got to get the win against Norwich."
The return of Clint Dempsey has added some firepower to the Fulham squad and Meulensteen expects him to quickly regain his best form after two appearances.
"It won't take long for him to be right back up there," said the head coach.
"He's just got to keep working, but that's his character and that's exactly what we know he will do."
