Dimitar Berbatov is searching for a third team in as many seasons after Ligue 1 club Monaco announced they have released the Bulgarian.
Berbatov joined the French giants in January 2014 from then-Premier League side Fulham and will be remembered for scoring the second goal in his side's 3-1 Champions League victory over Arsenal this season.
However, the 34-year-old is now a free agent after Monaco, who finished their Ligue 1 campaign in third this year, confirmed his departure.
In a statement on the club's official website, Vadim Vasilyev, Monaco Vice president said: Dimitar Berbatov showed all his talent and a great professionalism.
'He is clearly among the greatest strikers who played for Monaco. We are proud of what he brought to the club and wish him the best in the future.'
Berbatov enjoyed a successful spell in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur before Manchester United secured his signature for £30.75million in 2008.
He scored 48 Premier League goals in four seasons for Sir Alex Ferguson's side before moving to Fulham, where he played for a season-and-a-half.
