Fulham striker Moussa Dembele has told Get French Football News in an exclusive interview that he is focusing on life at Craven Cottage amid rumours over his future.

Dembele, 19, joined Fulham from Paris Saint-Germain in 2012, and has become a key player for the Cottagers this season, smashing eight goals in 18 games.

As with many young talents in the Football League, Dembele's success is now attracting plenty of interest, with the London Evening Standard reporting earlier this week that Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a move for the talented young Frenchman.

Dembele's contract at Craven Cottage expires at the end of the season, and clubs are lining up bargain moves for the player despite the fact that they would have to pay compensation - and according to the Daily Mail, Fulham rejected a £750,000 offer from Dutch giants Feyenoord for the teenager.

Now, Get French Football News have asked Dembele about his future with Fulham, and he has stated that he is trying to ignore suggestions from the media that he could be moving on soon, and prefers to leave off-field matters in the hands of his representatives.

"Every week the media is sending me to different clubs," said Dembele. "It is funny and flattering but on a serious note I am focusing on Fulham and promotion to the Premier League. All the other things do not affect me that much. I don't deceive. I give 100% everytime I wear the shirt. For the rest, my agents are dealing with it," he added.

Tottenham's interest should certainly be appealing to Dembele, considering how Mauricio Pochettino has been developing young players during his time in charge at White Hart Lane.

The likes of Danny Rose, Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane have all progressed thanks to Pochettino, who has no qualms about giving first-team football to talented young players, as seen by Alli's rise from League One to the Premier League in 2015.

With Tottenham having few striking options behind Harry Kane, Dembele could see a move to Spurs as a chance to play football, and he will have no doubt seen what Pochettino can do for the careers of young players.

It may be confusing for Spurs fans considering that they already have Mousa Dembele in midfield, but landing striker Moussa Dembele could yet be the ideal move for Tottenham, considering his performances this season and his huge potential.
