Norwich City are closing in on the signing of experienced central defender Shane Duffy, according to reports.
The Sun's transfer guru Alan Nixon is suggesting Duffy is keen to play regularly following his release by Fulham, with Norwich heading the queue.
Duffy completed a move from Brighton to Fulham in January to open another loan spot for Marco Silva's squad but has found game time to hard to come by.
The 31-year-old now looks poised to become Norwich's second summer signing following the arrival of Ashley Barnes.
Duffy played regularly for Brighton in the Premier League between 2016 and 2022 - making 150 appearances for the Seagulls.
The Irish international has made just five Premier League appearances this season, with his last coming as a substitute in Fulham's 5-3 win over Leicester.
Duffy has also had spells with Blackburn, Celtic and Everton throughout a career that has seen him make nearly 400 professional appearances.
Norwich are in the market for an additional central defender this summer after Grant Hanley sustained a serious Achilles injury that is likely to keep him out until 2024.
Duffy, who once played alongside Hanley at Blackburn, looks set to fit that profile with sporting director Stuart Webber confirming they were in the market for experience this summer.
The defender won't be permitted to complete his move to Carrow Road until after Fulham have completed their Premier League campaign - which ends on Sunday away at Manchester United.
