Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli is set to join Middlesbrough.
The keeper is taking a medical today, according to Sky Sports, ahead of finalising a season-long loan move.
The capture of Bettinelli will ease Neil Warnock's goalkeeper concerns.
At the start of the summer, the Boro boss identified the need for more experience between the posts and drew up a shortlist of targets.
Bettinelli has played more than 100 games for Fulham and was called into the England squad two years ago. But he lost the gloves at Craven Cottage last season, and with Scott Parker targeting a new keeper this summer, games would be hard to come by for Bettinelli next term.
Ironically, his penultimate appearance last season came back in October when he was brought off the bench at the Riverside to replace Marek Rodak who was sent off in the 0-0 draw with Boro.
The capture of Bettinelli would leave Boro with four senior goalkeepers, though Tomas Mejias will be allowed to leave if he can find a club.
