Fulham are set to offer Joe Bryan a new contract to fend off growing interest from Premier League clubs led by Leeds United, Football Insider understands.
Scott Parker’s side have signed a new left-back already this window in Antonee Robinson, who arrived last week in a £2million deal.
A Fulham source has told Football Insider the club want competition for places and their plan is to have Bryan and Robinson pushing one another next season for a starting role.
Bryan has two years remaining on his contract, which also includes the option in the Cottagers’ favour of a further 12 months.
But he is in demand following a stellar 2019-20 campaign that ended with his play-off final heroics when he scored twice in extra-time to steer Fulham back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
Leeds, West Brom, Newcastle United and Leicester City are among the top-flight clubs in the market for a proven left-back and Bryan is on their radar.
