The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Carlos Vinicius from Benfica for an undisclosed fee.
An imposing striker, Vinicius has agreed a three-year deal until the summer of 2025, with a Club option to extend by a further 12 months.
After putting pen to paper, the 27-year-old said: “I’m really happy to be here. I think it’s a big club with good people, so I’m really, really happy.
“I’m happy to be back in the Premier League again. I’m more experienced now and I think I can help the Club.”
Tony Khan added: “I’m delighted to welcome Carlos Vinicius to Fulham.
“We’re working hard to build a strong squad with the depth required to compete through the entirety of this Premier League season and for future seasons, and with Carlos’ arrival we’ve added a talented and experienced goal scorer and strengthened our team; we’re excited that he’s joining Marco’s squad.
“Come on Fulham!”
Having first sampled senior football with Caldense and Gremio Anapolis in his native Brazil, it was a move to Portugal that saw Vinicius begin to attract serious attention when he scored 20 goals and assisted a further five while on loan with Real SC in 2017/18.
That form prompted Napoli to bring him to Italy, though his time at the club was spent out on loan, first at Rio Ave – where he netted 14 goals in 20 matches – and AS Monaco.
In the summer of 2019, Benfica brought him back to Portugal for a fee of €17m.
Vinicius enjoyed a prolific first season at the club, with his 18 Primeira Liga goals firing him to the golden boot as Benfica finished as runners up to Porto. Across all competitions, he scored 24 and assisted 13 in 2019/20.
The following campaign, he tasted Premier League football for the first time as Tottenham Hotspur signed him on loan. Vinicius scored 10 goals and provided three assists in his 22 Spurs appearances.
Another loan and another new country followed last season as he moved to PSV Eindhoven, where he had 12 goal involvements in 23 matches as they finished second in the Eredivisie.
