Fulham skipper Brede Hangeland has travelled to play for Norway in their friendly with the Czech Republic after recovering from a clash of heads in the West London derby.

The Fulham skipper was substituted early on following a clash of heads with team-mate Kieran Richardson.

Fulham manager Felix Magath revealed afterwards that the Norwegian defender was taken to hospital for further tests.

However, the club have confirmed the 32-year-old has returned home after being given the all-clear by doctors.

A statement from Fulham FC stated:
Following the injury picked up by Brede Hangeland in the first half of the clash with Chelsea, the Club can provide the following update.

Brede was given the all-clear to return home from hospital on Saturday evening and has joined up with the Norway national team.

Our Captain had been involved in a clash of heads with teammate Kieran Richardson during the early stages of the SW6 derby.
