Referee John Brooks
(Leicestershire) |
John Brooks started refereeing in 2004 in local leagues throughout Leicestershire, when he was 14.
Ref Brooks is a part of the Select Group 2 of full time referees, meaning that he can officiate matches at Premier League and Football League level, whilst he also joined the FIFA International Referees List as an assistant referee earlier this year.
In 20014/15 he started refereeing in the Conference League, moved up to the Football League in season 2016-17 and then the Championship in 2018/19
Mr Brooks has never had the pleasure of bossing a Fulham game.
The last time Ref Brooks bossed a Luton Town game was in January 2019 when he was in the middle for Luton vrs Barnsley in League One. He yellow carded one player from each team.
Last season he officiated at 40 matches issuing 156 yellow cards and 5 reds, some 3.9 yellows per game.
His busiest games in recent times, last season 2018/19, were three games when he dished out 8 yellows and the Portsmouth vrs Charlton game in December 2018 when he dished out 5 yellows to home players and 2 to Charlton players. He finished the game with a second yellow/red to a Portsmouth player in the 90th minute.
