Referee Andy Davies, former player with Portsmouth, Gillingham and Yeovil had to stop playing through injury at the age of twenty-eight so turned to refereeing in 2003. He has made rapid progress and reached the National List in August 2012 and since then has refereed over 100 EFL matches.
In 2016 he became part of the Select Group 2 Referees and was employed on a full time basis
Mr Davies last bossed a Fulham game in October when we lost 2-0 away at Stoke. He booked two players from each team, Mitrovic for a foul in the 26th minute and Bettinelli for a foul in the 79th minute for which the Ref gave a penalty to Stoke.
Ref Davies had bossed the season opener at the Oakwell Ground when Barnsley won 1-0. He booked three Barnsley players and one Fulham player, Le Marchand (32,f).
In 2017/18 season Mr Davies refed Fulham in one game the 3-1 away victory over Barnsley in January 2018. Mr Davies booked three Barnsley players and two Fulham players, Bettinelli (32,d), Johansen (45+1,f), and dished out a second yellow/red for a Barnsley player in the 45th minute.
Mr Davis bossed us five times in 2016/17 season twice in the League Cup and three times in the Championship. There were three wins, one draw and a defeat, which was against Bristol City in the League Cup
The last time Ref Davis bossed a Stoke City game was in October 2019 when they beat Fulham 1-0. He booked two players from each team.
Last season he officiated at 37 matches issuing 124 yellow cards and 6 reds, some 3.4 yellows per game.
His busiest game in recent times was the Millwall vrs Reading game in December 2018 when he yellow carded three Millwall players and one Reading player. He also dished out straight red cards to two Reading players, one in the 9th minute and the other in the 88th minute.
