Referee Lee Probert began refereeing in 1986, in leagues local to Bristol and later in the Football Conference South.
He was promoted to the assistant referees' list for the Football League in 1998, and made the step up to full referee five years later. He has been part of the Select Group of referees since 2007, after a successful 11-year career as an official in the Football League.
Mr Probert missed the whole of the 2015/16 season due to injury and returned to the Premier League in April 2017. He remained a member of the Select Group of referees.
Mr Probert last refed Fulham in the 2-2 draw away at Brighton in September this year. He booked six players, three from each team, the Fulham players booked were Johansen (82,not retreating), Mitrovic (84,handball), Le Marchand (90+4,foul).
Prior to the Brighton he last refed the 1-1 home draw with Leeds United in March 2017. He booked three Fulham players, three Leeds players and followed up with a second yellow for Leeds player K Phillips in the 89th minute.
Man Utd have not been refed by Mr Probert since their 4-0 home win over Norwich in April 2014. He yellow carded one from each team.
Last season he refed 29 games and dished out 57 yellows, a very low average of just under two yellows per game, and 5 reds.
His busiest games in recent time were the Premiership game between Bournemouth and Huddersfield in November last year when he booked six players and dished out a second yellow to Francis of Bournemouth in the 45th minute and the Championship game between Preston and Wigan when he booked six players and dished out a red to a Wigan player in the 56th minute.
