Andre Marriner began refereeing in 1992, by chance when he was asked to cover for a referee who did not turn up for a local match, and he progressed via the Birmingham Amateur Football League and the Southern Football League to become a Football League assistant referee in 2000.
Mr Marriner was a Football League assistant referee for three years before being promoted to the position of referee in 2003. He was promoted to the Select Group of professional referees in 2005 and In December 2008 it was announced that Marriner, at the age of 37 would be invited to join FIFA's list of international referees for 2009
The last time Mr Marriner refed a Fulham game was on 26th December 2018 when we drew 1-1 at home to Wolves in the Premiership. He booked three players amongs which were Chambers and Christie for arguing. Ryan Sessegnon scored the only Fulham goal.
Mr Marriner also refed us earlier in that season in October 2018 when Fulham lost 3-0 at home to Bournemouth. He booked four players, three from Fulham, Kamara, McDonald and Mitrovic, all for fouls, with a second yellow for Mcdonald in the 73rd minute.
Prior to this Mr Marriner refed Fulham in the 3-0 away win at Millwall in April 2018. He booked four Millwall players and Tim Ream for a foul in 71st minute.
He last refed Sheffield United in July 2020 when they won 3-0 at home agaimst Chelsea. He yellow carded one players, United defender Baldock.
Last season he refed 27 games and dished out 71 yellows and 2 reds, so a below average 2.6 yellows per game.
