Samuel Barrott took up refereeing when he was 15 after an injury playing for Halifax Town Youth Team. The West Riding based official, made the step up from the National League list of Officials to the EFL at the end of the 2019/2020 season and is now a Select Group 2 Referee.
Mr Barrott has only refed one Fulham game before and that was when we won 2-0 away at Birmingham in the League Cup in August 2021. He booked two players, both from Fulham, Michael Hector and Joe Bryan for fouls. Jay Stansfield and Antonee Robinson scored Fulha's goals.
Mr Barrott has not refed Sheff Utd before.
Last season, 2022/2023, he refed 40 games and dished out 118 yellows and 4 reds, so 3.0 yellows per game.
The busiest recent game for Mr Barrott was West Brom vrs Swansea when he booked three West Brom players and four Swansea players.
