Fulham midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe has joined Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old has made only seven appearances for the Whites this season, having been in and out of the team ever since joining from Manchester United in 2014.
It is his second loan spell at Wigan, having made five appearances for the Latics during the latter part of the 2013-14 campaign.
But having come through the ranks at Manchester United, he is well-known to Wigan manager Warren Joyce, who firmly believes he can get the best out of the player.
“Ryan’s got a terrific attitude first and foremost,” he said.
“He’s been educated through the United Academy and is a player I always thought would do well.
“He has built up considerable experience now in this division, and we are confident he can be a really positive influence to the group in the immediate future.”
He also spent a brief period at Blackburn Rovers in the following season.
Tunnicliffe could make his second debut for Wigan at home to Fulham’s rivals Brentford in Saturday’s Championship game.
