Fulham keeper Maarten Stekelenburg became a AS Monaco hero on his debut. His effort in a penalty shootout against Olympique Lyon in the French Coupe de la Ligue ensured Monaco a quarter-final spot.
The Dutch international saved the sixth penalty of the home team which was taken by Jordan Ferri.
The 32-year-old Stekelenburg, who arrived on loan from Fulham in the summer, has spent the season so far on the Monaco bench.
His last last first team game was on the 8th March 2014 when he lost 3-1 with Fulham in the Premier League against Cardiff City.
Stekelenburg said after the game that it had been difficult beinging on the bench for so long but that he had known the situation before he arrived fron Fulham. He had been ready for his opportunity by training hard every day.
