Sturm Graz defender Michael Madl is closing in on a move to Fulham.
The Austrian side confirmed Madl, 27, has left their training camp in Turkish town Belek to head to London for a medical.
Championship strugglers Fulham are under a transfer embargo and can only sign players on loan or on freebie deals.
"We have put together a good overall package with Fulham and will conduct final negotiations tomorrow," said general manager Gerhard Goldbrich.
Madl added: "I had three wonderful years in Sturm.
"The time has come for me to take advantage of the chance to play in England.
"Even now I would like to thank the black and white, to give me the opportunity to fulfil this dream."
