When we play a poor team who has a half decent plan to beat us we usually loose. I had hope until the last two games where we have shown how poor we really are. You might as well say that Liverpool have only been winning matches, because there opponents were off form, which is nonsense of course. If we win, we deserve it, as we have scored more goals than our opponents, We have got what we have earned, and we are very comfortable in mid table. Spurs would like to be in our position.

Apart from the money involved, does it really matter now, where we will finish in the table. When looking at the paper, it's good to see Fulham in the top 10, for self satisfaction, but other than that who gives a hoot now. If Brentford and Brighton finish above us in the table, it's not an insult, but as neither of them are playing well at present it probably won't happen anyway. What's more important now, is looking forward to next season, and making sure that we progress, not stand still.

We have had a reasonable, season but the way that we started, it is really no more than that. To think that we have taken the lead, and failed to win, in 23 games over the season, is really shocking to be honest. Fingers crossed,Marco will have learned lessons with this regard, and it will not be happening again next season. It will probably be a big thank you to Willian, and possibly Rual, and no doubt that there is a chance that Jedi, will be sold, but hopefully not. We will all be looking for new faces in our squad, and hopefully these are already on our wanted list, and they will be of a younger element. Now that European football is off of the agenda, we should try to bring some of our youngsters through, to see if any of them have got what it takes.

100% right. Marco is fully to blame here. The subs needed to come on 10-15 minutes sooner and he got the players coming in wrong and the tactics wrong. Tete, Sess and Raul were the players to bring off, yes. Not Lukic. This game was the wrong game for Cairney. Wilson didn’t look ready — not for a derby anyway. Would’ve been better to bring in players who could press and defend. Reed for sure. And once Castagne came in, we needed to put in Diop to help him. This was a game to at least get a point, given what Bournemouth and Brighton did.

If you cannot play well for Manchester United you are not going to play well for us and he never plays well for us. I am afraid Cairney must be released at the end of this season he looked out of his depth yesterday. That lump of a Mexican is showing his age as well. If we spend any money we have in the summer just on a top striker that would be a successful window. Other teams produce brilliant youngsters we should to, at least give the ones we have a go, some of them must be better than playing old men who run out of steam in the last ten minutes. We only beat teams who have an off day and usually only score deflected goals. Our luck has now completely run out and I suspect of our remaining games the one at Southampton is the only one we won't lose.

Just take a look back not at his running around and work-rate but his opportunities in good positions in that game was nothing to write home about. Take a look at his free kicks, corners and balls in to him in the middle which he wasted. Pereira has no clue what to do with a good ball in to him most times and that sort of responsibility in the middle is not good enough...

TC has come on as a late sub recently as a guarantee to hold results but sadly he can no longer hold and distribute the ball. As for europe Im sure the lads will give it a final go. Hopefully we can give everyone a surprise and beat the bottom club plus a final run. The squad is stronger than Roys,and taking away the top half dozen champions league clubs we can hold our own against any of the others.

He should of been the first to be substituted yesterday. Marco thinks we held them well in the first half, I suppose we did after a fashion but once the Chelsea manager said to the players at halftime "why are you letting these useless old men beat you", everything changed. Also the subs we made created space for Chelsea that the sensibly took advantage of. Our old men run out of steam in the last ten minutes that is why it is so important to get our substitutions right, Marco got them all wrong yesterday.

posted by Paddy O’Doors (Guest) - Saturday 19th April 2025, 8:45 PM Personally I couldn't care less who reaches the final, as I was expecting it be us, but of course as usual, we seem to throw away every opportunity that we ever seem to get to do something, and last weekend against Bournemouth, was a case in point. Bournemouth, as we saw yesterday against Palace are an awful side, but when it comes to the crunch, we throw away the points. West Ham away, was probably the best reason, why we are not really chasing a European place, as if there was ever an example of throwing a game away, this was it, and I have never felt so low as I did on the way home that day. We might beat Chelsea today, but the chances are we will lose to Southampton next weekend, where no else ever does. That however, is what being a Fulham supporter is all about.

The Ukraine war bought more chaos and over spend and you have to put in the extra money they gave us for energy gas and electric and breakfast club money which is nothing new etc. Labour have never had a good record with accounts and money throughout the history of elections and they don't like maths and better education schools. The big mistake was to appoint Sunak who was a crap prime minister and he should have stayed on in accounts which is what he is good at. Boris is not liked and is labled a baffoon but i think he would make a better statesman for Britain on a world stage. Starmer is a ratings man and he will go where the wind blows. The refuge problems in Birmingham and the badly run Councel Borough by Labour tells you that Labour will not be any better than the Tories who know more about money and business by a long chalk...

Five, nil up and the fans chant for 6. At the start of the season we were literally written off and even considered relegation candidates by many sages. I’m glad to report that, despite all of the disappointments and frustrations, we are on course for our best finish in the top flight. We have produced some magical football as well as some pretty dreadful stuff, but have earn plaudits from the most lukewarm of pundits. Much has been done to enhance the reputation of the club and I’m certain few teams would view us as a walk over and 3 easy points. Congratulations to Marco and his players also the owners and back room staff. All I’m sure have played their part. For my part I’m pleased with our season, could have been better of course, but hey I’m a football supporter:))

I think he had a spell for Villa also and i remember even less about his stint there. My favourite player was Charlie George for one reason or another and i just don't know why because i wasn't into Arsenal. I saw Charlie playing for Derby quite frequently and he was just one of those players the last of the old school flamboyant. Saying that, Charlie George was injured a lot as far as i remember but a great player in my eyes.

Playing one twos with the corner flag and pretending to comb his hair while looking at his watch lol, he sounds a proper showman and known as the clown prince.Able to play at inside forward or outside forward, he scored 134 goals in 427 league and cup appearances in just over 11 seasons in the Football League, and before that scored 171 goals in 209 league and cup appearances during wartime football is decent and it is an honour and a pleasure to read about him LTS. I would have liked him immensely Len would have made good entertainment reading in the papers every week in these times and a lot more interesting than most footballers now.

Being a professional footballer should be seen by all the players as a 24 hour job, keeping fit and always eating an drinking the right things both at work and at home. The job is a very short length for most people and where they retire very rich they do what they like.

All depends if Marco get a better offer, nothing is for ever in football, in fact Marco has stayed longer at Fulham than most managers do anywhere. I hoped is would happen before when we had a perfect manager, but he was tempted by Liverpool. The Marco/Khan combination could get us to the top of the League if they stay long enough and maintain their standards.

If a good offer is made to Marco, from another top club, then the Khan's must match it or offer even more, as top Managers are so hard to come by, and then it would be a case of starting all over again, and we certainly don't want to be doing that, after becoming a fairly established Premier League club under Marco.

The only seat up for grab is at Spurs but they have a poor squad and in general will always be a hospital pass. So unless a big club in Europe (eg Juventus) comes for Marco, he’s staying put. Which is good news for us.

I recall how a very experienced player once said on telly: ‘This game is all played in the mind’, meaning confidence (either ‘over’ or ‘lack of’); concentration; nerves: leadership; aggression etc, all these mental issues must be worked on as much as physical fitness to get the right outcomes. Although the spirit in the Fulham camp always seems so good, one can’t help but wonder sometimes if we approach games with ‘top’ sides rather better than we approach games with the ‘lesser’ sides. Although the Liverpool defence had a nightmare first half against us the other Sunday, Fulham still had to take the chances and then defend the lead. Last night against Bournemouth we never looked like scoring, even though we had plenty of possession.

On tonight's show, although he had a bit of a knock, we couldn't give him away. I'm getting a bit fed up, with a lot of our fans, raging a hate campaign against Smith Rowe, when apart from one sloppy pass when he came on, he looked pretty sharp. Leave the lad a lone, as he will come good next season, you just wait and see. However I'm absolutely furious about the way we played tonight, against a side who had no confidence, after a run of winless games, not forgetting however that last week we actually beat a side that had gone 27 games away, without defeat. It's a funny old game ! !

This was another West Ham away performance. We were easily the best side, but our finishing was garbage. Bournemouth were 8 games without a win in 8 games, until we roll up. We will no doubt finish higher in the table than Bournemouth, but as for getting into a European competition, let's just forget it, as we haven't got the squad for it.

I am sure Marco will start with Muniz and Sessegnon so expect the same team as last. My son, an avid supporter, agrees that most regular fans do not rate Andersen although he thought he was ok against Liverpool. Saw the highlights of the Birmingham v Peterborough last night and both goals were outstanding. Peterborough, have produced some good goal scorers so perhaps our scouts should check them out.

I thought the whole team played extremely well against Liverpool, with a few mistakes thrown in, and Bigboy, I can't agree with you about Andersen, as I thought that he had probably his best game of the season. Whether we win, lose, or draw, we can all pick out one player at least, who was not up to the rest, even though not terrible, and that player at present is ESR. However, rightly or wrongly, I think that this previously very talented lad, will come good next season. Don't forget that last season, most of us would have shown Muniz the door, and now he has improved beyond recognition, so maybe, and hopefully, the same will apply to Emile next season.

Agree about Muniz but i wanted to say that his technical ability is very good. Look at the way how he bamboozled Van the man to score that 3rd goal, simply brilliant! His contract is running out and we need to sign him and give him better wages to keep him. My fear is that a signing contract will can break down and then we have a sulky player on our hands that refuses to sign, and we all know these situations can happen. I don't think Muniz will make player of the season because he has been too inconsistent and has not scored enough goals. Muniz is same like Mitrovic and they both are nightmares to all defenders back to goal. Muniz is sometimes inexperienced in a positional sense. Good target men know by instinct where to be in the box to grab a goal and Muniz is still learning that one but all is good at the Cottage and we need more from him...

posted by peterjeremy - Thursday 10th April 2025, 8:35 AM PETER , it was along by the 7 stars pub opposite star road, there were about 5 sections belonging to Busby, hodgings, warwicks, and harris,and another that i recall in 40/early 50s, busby had horse and then a lorry as did hodgings , warwick son was in my class at henries joey, and hodging lived in orbain road there daughter who i fancied married yet another henries boy who was in my class terry o connor. when it closed BT parked there vans on it . hope that helps.

I live near the location you mentioned, and there’s no trace of of coal yards now! I can recall when I was a boy (in Slough) the coalman coming to deliver, and the black dust and drafts that the coal fire caused. May I say I regard central heating as Man’s greatest invention! I don’t even mind Climate Change too much if temperatures inch up a bit and get rid of those long freezing winters we once had!

Dad was out in North Africa ( desert rat ) Think my brothers and sisters were either evacuated or not. Spending time in sw6 at that time sister had a direct hit in Ken high st. In the store she worked in she was in the base in a cupboard she survived a few did not.

Maybe Sess is too fragile to play a full game. I doubt much will get Cod Rowe moving in any case. I emailed the club to suggest they invest in some greyhound apparatus and replace the hare with a Greggs sausage roll to put round the pitch to encourage the rotund dawdler to move. Or going back to an old Minder episode they could get Talbot on a modified bicycle.

So we are likely to get more points than otherwise. 13 points from a possible 21 is a realistic target. Which would take us to 61 points, I'd like to think just about enough for a top 8.

I have not posted for a long time simply because I got fed up with non Fulham fans who are posting rubbish, also some so called Fulham fans are constantly posting garbage and causing Arguments with real fans. We all get the hump with a bad game but there is no point of getting angry with other peoples opinions. Good luck lads.

I know what you mean and understand your reluctance to post with all the rubbish that’s churned out. It’s been a funny old season hasn’t it? Some great performances but some absolute rubbish, but that’s true of most teams this year. On balance a great season. Hope we make a European spot, albeit don’t really think we have a large enough or strong enough squad, but I don’t know much and you never know, we gave a good account of ourselves before. Seems ideal for him. Muniz is currently ok at CF with Ryan in support, bit like a return to the Mitro days.

Muniz to me is an enigma, and I really can't make up my mind, whether he is a good striker or not, and I still feel that the jury is out. I thought that he had a really good game against Liverpool yesterday, but it is just as likely that he will have a very moderate game against Bournemouth. He could go on to be a top striker, on the other hand he could just fade away. At present full credit to the lad, who looked embarrassingly dreadful, when on loan to Boro'. Full credit too, to Marco, who stood by Muniz, when most of us, would have paid his taxi fare, to just go anywhere. Marco, as mentioned before is a remarkable coach and Manager, and we are so lucky to have him, and both Muniz, Sess, and Jiminez I am sure will feel the same.

The match against them last weekend, just happened to come after the International break, and for some unknown reason, we just don't win those games. I was thrilled with today's win, but the last 15 minutes seemed to last forever, and was so stressful. I don't usually comment on referees, unless they are poor, but the man we love to hate Chris Kavanagh, I thought, apart from one foul on Muniz that he refused to give, had a very good and controlled game.

Starting with our best free transfers in a winger roll meant he was constantly making run into the box which our two strikers do not often do. We stopped Liverpool from playing and played very well ourselves. If we can play like that against Bournemouth and Chelsea a top five place becomes very possible.

They are a good side with a very good tactical manager. Marco is a great “man manager” but he always comes up short against a decent tactician. We do struggle to win after the international break though and I am struggling to find a single win after the international break since Marco joined us. As always though, our historic win today was due to a Liverpool team out of sorts rather than a great display by the lads. Well done Fulham - great job, very well done.

I Remember the first time that we were promoted under SP, our first game was against Palace at home, and although TC, scored a worldie we lost to a late goal from their full back, who's name escapes me. We do far better at Selhurst than at CC. You don't dare mention Palace, where I live, as most of my friends and neighbours are ardent Brighton fans, and Palace beat them both home and away this season, and I know that it really hurts. The ironical thing is, my hairdresser is a Palace fan, but we do however get on well, despite our rivalry! !
